We placed all of our research and prototype into a PowerPoint which was presented to the class. I feel that people were aware that cyberbullying existed within the world but did not realize that it exists on the campus. Our idea helps to provide support to an ongoing problem because it is an ongoing solution which can be used at multiple on campus events. And by showing real examples students are able to better empathize with it. Some things that I took away from the topic of cyberbullying itself are that when people are communicating online, they lose a sense of their human elements and do not always empathize for the people on the other side of their posts. Kids in today’s world are getting phones at a younger age it seems every year so they should also be made aware of the dangers of cyberbullies online and prevent them from posting harmful content to other people as well. And bullying has taken many forms over the years by adapting to new forms like cyberbullying, so it is up to people to design for good and help prevent more victims from being harmed by others and provide them with the tools to help them. By working on this project for a little over a month, it helped to cement the design thinking process in my mind and now I can access it at any time for future projects I may work on. Each stage represents an important role in the process and should all be approached with the same care and work ethic in order to succeed in the end.
