Courage and Conviction

Courage and Conviction is a thorough examination of the life and legacy of Christopher Columbus. Narrated by Chazz Palminteri, the film provides insight into Columbus’ remarkable skills as a sea navigator, the origins of Columbus Day, and the symbolic role that Columbus represents for Catholic immigrants and Italian Americans.

As assistant editor I was involved in non-linear editing of the film such as the interview assembly edits, BRoll, music / sound mix, and selecting clips to be animated. As post-production supervisor I organized all of the incoming footage as well as communicated with archivists and television networks for licensing of archival footage that was used for the film and marketing material. I also helped in conforming the film for broadcast to be aired on multiple networks across the U.S.
